Richard N Fedorak, MD - President and Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Richard Fedorak is Professor in the Faculty of Medicine, and Dean, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, at the University of Alberta. Dr Fedorak is a recognized international expert in gastrointestinal disorders, as well as a recipient of numerous awards and over $35 million in research fellowships and grants. Dr Fedorak serves on multiple national and international scientific advisory boards and has published over 400 peer-reviewed manuscripts.

David Chang, MASc, PhD - Chief Executive Officer
David Chang has over 15 years' experience managing SMEs, bringing products to market in the emerging field of metabolomics. He has a Masters of Applied Science at the University of Waterloo and a PhD in Chemical and Materials Engineering at the University of Alberta, where he was first involved in the early discoveries of using Nuclear Magnetic Resonance for metabolomics. He has applied his expertise in signal processing, multivariate statistics and modelling to leading-edge biomarker diagnostic applications.David also holds an appointment as an Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Alberta. Before joining MTI in 2015, Dr. Chang was with Chenomx Inc., where he developed and managed business operations.

Haili Wang, MD - Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer
Dr. Haili Wang is a colorectal surgeon and Assistant Professor at the University of Alberta Hospital, and has recently completed her Masters degree in Clinical Epidemiology. Her area of research expertise relates to urine metabolomics and colorectal cancer screening. Dr. Wang has presented at numerous clinical and scientific conferences and has an in-depth knowledge of metabolomics and colorectal cancer.
Lu Deng, PhD -  Senior Scientist and Director of Business Development, Asia
Lu Deng completed her PhD in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Alberta.  She has three year’s experience as a post-doc at The Metabolomics Innovation Centre, where she applied her expertise in metabolomics, mass spectrometry, method development and validation to biomarker discovery.

Jean Forsythe, BA - Manager, Corporate Development
Jean Forsythe has over fiftenn years' experience in managing projects, including coordinating fundraising campaigns for university development initiatives. Before joining MTI, Jean was the Campaign Coordinator for the Hoover Institution at Stanford University. She has a BA from the University of British Columbia.
